Hi, I’m Lauren!

Born and raised in West Virginia, I’m a CPA with a love for business, fashion, interiors, and bringing old spaces back to life.

Wild Laurel began as a way to bring all of those things together. When I found our storefront in the heart of historic Shepherdstown—a nearly 250-year-old space dating back to 1776—I fell in love with its character and history. Creating a boutique within those old walls has been just as much a part of the dream as curating what goes inside them.

I’ve always loved interiors and the way a thoughtfully designed space can make you feel, so I wanted Wild Laurel to be more than somewhere you simply shop. From the historic storefront and ever-changing window displays to the clothing, accessories, candles, and little details throughout the shop, everything is chosen to make the experience feel special.

At its heart, Wild Laurel is a combination of so many things I love: small-town West Virginia, old buildings, beautiful interiors, personal style, and entrepreneurship.

I’m incredibly proud to be building a business in my home state and adding a new chapter to a storefront that has been part of Shepherdstown for generations.
